DEVONthink (not DEVINagent) has been spectacular for me. I have many different documents related to many different projects/purposes, and it does the best out of anything I’ve tried for searching, categorizing, etc. It has a learning c

I just participated in the Landmark Forum ( https://www.landmarkworldwide.com/ ) which is designed to do (among other things) just this, over a three day intensive class. It's about redefining the way you look at the pas

As someone who recently returned to Rails after 7 years of searching for a better option, I totally agree. For the types of problems I solve (not FAANG problems), Rails is the by far the most productive option. Not perfect, mind you, but be

Wow...I mean, I love the battery life in my 16" M1 Max Pro. Similar specs to yours...64GB of ram and 8TB ssd...but I've never seen two days of use. Not even really a full day...I can get around 6-8 hours on the couch without plu

TruffleRuby, Graal’s ruby implementation is the fastest ruby runtime by a huge margin This is interesting to me as someone working on a Rails app currently. I'm surprised it hasn't become the defacto ruby implementation given th

No...macOS doesn't work that way. There are a few hacks (Afloat, Helium) but all require disabling SIP, which is not desirable. And even if they didn't require disabling SIP, they only work part of the time in my experience.

I think the problem is distinguishing which experiences cost what ahead of living them, and finding alternatives (which, among other things, religion is or poses as). For example, mundane day-to-day hopelessness is very costly as well, wh

Just because seekers lose their sight doesn't mean there's no value in their seeking, or what they learned along the way. The reality for many, including myself, is that religion, including Buddhism, is a (sometimes desperate) att
