Glad to hear it. I switched to GrandCentral as my main contact number back when Google bought them since I figured they'd be around for a while, but have been rather concerned with the downtime/SSL expirations/domain screwups. If 2.0's comi

I bought quite a few Seagate drives back when they were the first to move up to a five-year warranty; I believe it was around the 7200.7 series. Those were great drives - fast and reliable (knock on wood, I don't think a one has died on me

In addition, Sass (Haml's CSS counterpart) is almost worth the price of admission by itself - the way it handles nested CSS rules and families is very smart, and that's not including constants and calculation functionality. http://haml.ham

Perhaps, but Haml isn't an abstraction layer. You're still using exactly the same HTML tags and attributes, just expressing them in a different way. A better way of thinking about it would be simply an alternative syntax for HTML, eliminati

No problem. I don't think I caught it until I went through the Haml docs a second or third time - lots of handy little tidbits floating around in there I missed the first time.

I read your comment, and was a bit taken aback.. "isn't that what :javascript is for?" Reading through the comments, though, :javascript was developed specifically in response to that post - it wraps everything indented in script tags, and

Speaking as someone who lost a close family friend to an accident where a helmet would've saved him... I still think I would wear the helmet. Even if you do get injured, I'd think it would be far less likely to be the kind that puts you int

As a long-time Treo 700p user that switched to an iPhone at the beginning of 2008... I'm seriously impressed. Palm seems to have actually looked at the iPhone interface, taken what it does right to heart and attempted to improve upon Apple'

Rather than replying to one of your several other posts, I'll just ask here - what do you think is so "complex and arcane" about git that makes it so difficult to learn? Speaking as someone who had very little experience with SCMs before gi

As an interesting aside, that's also why Skype claimed Windows Update caused their last major outage - they claim there was a bug that caused the P2P network self-healing code to work slowly, a larger-than-normal number of computers reboote
