Nearly everything in this post is FUD. The only accurate part is that Cloudflare is indeed a MitM no matter what SSL mode you have enabled. An intelligence agency that thoroughly compromises Cloudflare's interception points would be ab

Right. But my question is... why would an unrelated third party engage in click fraud? All I can think of is some kind of framing, in an attempt to get a site owner delisted or sued.

Isn't that what most click fraud is, though? Paying someone/something to click your own ads? Who would do click fraud if they aren't somehow being compensated by the ad provider?

Could this theoretically be used to fight all pathogen-based illnesses as well?

I kind of agree, but we've already committed at this point. No going back, really. So there's no harm in adding some more.

Right. What happens when you call 911 and they send the ambulance to "gravy.sun.request" instead of "gravy.sun.requests" or whatever? The odds of such a similar name being located in the same city are low, so they'd

I have no problem with multiculturalism and all that, but some of the recent overcorrections against racism and prejudice are getting pretty ridiculous. The Rotherham scandal also comes to mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki

I would consider reddit's post quality even worse than 4chan's, honestly. (Depending on board.)

I mean, it depends how you look at it. I consider precomputed attacks a special case of these attacks, sort of. In the security world, most password-predicting attacks are linear with respect to the amount of accounts you're trying to

No, he's absolutely right. Single-iteration SHA-1 is extremely inappropriate for password hashing, and all salting does is prevent rainbow table attacks and instant reversal of duplicate hashes. It does not slow down non-precomputed at

Near-universal ad blocking (across all kinds of devices) would be fatal to so many different businesses and business models. Revenue primarily derived via ads seems kind of unsustainable at this point. And the same may even eventually be tr

Still, I don't think LANDR is intended for people who can regularly afford professional mastering. It's like saying netbooks are going to devalue the Macbook. >LANDR is now on version three of their algorithm and it still sucks

I can't deny any of that, and DDG has a better UX, but Google is still by far superior when it comes to returning relevant results. I do a lot of Googling for my job (and life), and nothing I've tried seems to compare to Google&#x

The point of services like LANDR is that good mastering requires you either become very skilled and experienced, or spend a lot of money. Their output isn't great, but it many cases it's better than no mastering at all. Also, I im

Very true. I've also had the opposite experience. Bad speakers/headphones can hide flaws. On good headphones, sibilant frequencies, compression artifacts, and muddy bass can all become really apparent and annoying.

Everyone works differently. My problem is that if I start mixing as soon as I introduce a new synth, I get really obsessive and perfectionist over it and lose the big picture. At the moment, I try to just do some light sound design and mixi

Interesting. Sounds like Poulsen's account lines up pretty closely; it's just missing information. The big piece Poulsen apparently got wrong was that Hilbert was always aware Popov was involved in the original FBI and EMC hacks.

My point is: They're getting this data by doing drug tests of drivers in fatal car crashes after the crash has occurred. Previously, 8% of those drivers had cannabis detected. Now, 17% have it detected. What evidence is there that the
