Doctors can be notoriously ignorant and contradictory when it comes to mental illness-treating drugs. There's a lot of literature out there and a lot of them don't keep up. I don't know why it is. Not that you shouldn't

Oh yeah, I've used SSRIs and suffered the withdrawal. I know they're not making things up or whatever. But I also think that taking such a universal anti-psychiatric drug stance is probably too hardline of a position. I think they

The article seems sound, but the source does look a bit biased.

Really shallow of me, but the name kind of turns me off. "Uber" or "Lyft" are just whatever, but Waymo sounds like... something an infant would sputter out. Or "Lame-o".

I check the news roughly once a day just to get a feel for the headlines. I check the left-leaning sources and right-leaning sources and don't read any of the articles. I don't get sucked in, and also just get an idea of what peop

The latter. Even a very simple hash algorithm will almost always make it impossible to get the original contents back. You'd have to write an intentionally pathological algorithm to achieve that.

Orexin is also discussed in that thread. Ceretropic announced the release of P21 and Orexin at the same time.

Exact same thing. Odd unsolved memory leak, using lxml for HTML parsing. I think I'll stay away from it in the future. Unfortunate, since it's the fastest HTML parser in Python that I know of.

Just to provide a contrasting point of view: CoffeeScript is the only reason I ever wrote, and ever write, JavaScript. Period. Transpilers do add a layer of complexity, but all of the syntax sugar advantages make it more than worth it to me

Wouldn't it make more sense to use something faster and simpler for most routing, and then an optional argument for regular expressions? Lots of web frameworks use that approach.

I'd rather there be some kind of isolation of political discussion rather than an outright ban for a week. Maybe just have a permanent/rotating "politics/culture/society" thread for people to share whatever?

Once intelligence agencies start backdooring microcode (especially in a way that chip manufacturers can't detect), I'm throwing out my computer and living in the woods.

That seems highly misleading. I think MDMA is far more physically dangerous than cannabis. Many people have directly died from irresponsible use of MDMA, but no one has (directly) died from any use of cannabis. MDMA can certainly be safe an
