I recently made halftrace - point it at your OpenAI/Anthropic/LangSmith agent logs and it tells you what shape your agent's rule-following has, why, and what to try. I built it to try and find smooth decay over trajectory len

I guess just a spell-check in the repo? But yes, I'd imagine that they have an effect. Even running the same input twice is non-deterministic.

I literally just posted a blog on this. Some seemingly insignificant words are actually highly structural to the model. https://www.ruairidh.dev/blog/compressing-prompts-with-an-au...

Hi HN, I built WinLog because I kept seeing good engineers undersell themselves during reviews and promotions. Not because they weren’t doing great work, but because they simply forgot what they’d shipped over time. WinLog helps you capture

$0 so far (just launched). I recently launched https://winlog.dev , a Slack-first tool to help engineers capture their work as it happens so they’re better prepared for reviews and promotions. It’s early days, but I’m using it wi

I'm moving house and it's great for feeding in floor plans and coming up with ideas. Like having an interior designer. Not always accurate but it's enough to get me going.

As a manager, I try and take most of it on when possible. The team have worked hard all year and I view it as good leadership to let them have that space.

Most of this will be post-processed. You can get a decent camera + lens which helps, as well as a good eye for photography. The rest is shooting in RAW and knowing how to use Lightroom to get the most out of your photo.

Probably not. You need to practice. As a fellow self-taught engineer, I'd say it's worth doing. Check out something like algoexpert.io or one of Andre Neagoie's courses on Udemy to get a mix of theory and practice.

I have a GraphQL course on Educative. It doesn't make crazy money, but definitely nice beer money every month! You could make several of these to increase the income and it's pretty passive (after writing your course obviously).
