I don't have a dog in this fight, I would be curious to know about the security stuff. Like is screen sharing a massive pain? Or is it "just" a prompt kind of like in the browser? Stuff like global hotkeys sounds unfun tho

I am very open to Wayland in theory but I legit worry because it's been in the air for years and years and it still feels so far away. And some of the Wayland-y points around things like security just never felt relevant to me. Though

It does feel like Lina Khan's FTC was much more willing to play the part in the adversarial system. Don't necessarily agree with every decision but was surprising to see how willing the FTC was to jump into things and make unpopul

this is what reducers are for. Though reducers tend to make you end up needing to do a bunch of stuff on async event handling which can feel _pretty_ tedious. And if you don't do the tedious way, you often end up intro'ing really

huhm the ars review makes it seem like this thing does worse on benchmarks than stuff like the mac but the test suite in DHH's example goes way faster. Bursty perf perhaps?

My impression is that in Erlang land each process handler is really cheap so you can just keep on showing up with process handlers and not reach exhaustion like you do with other systems (at least in pre-async worlds...)

So people say that they reverse engineer the system to get the system prompt by asking the machine, but like... is that actually a guarantee of anything? Would a system with "no" prompt just spit out some random prompt?

I think you could describe a part of it as COVID-related, though not that much. The trends predate COVID and continued beyond 2020-2021 (really the peak of activity being pulled back in Japan). 2013 saw 4.4k fatalities. 2019 saw 3.2k fatali
