A while ago I made this bookmarklet to easily geocitize a webpage: https://gist.github.com/2141034 The code is quite dumb but it works rather well.

In Firebug, I see that just opening that page makes my browser do 281 requests for scripts and what not. That's insane, users don't like to wait.

One problem with a service like this is: how do I know if I can trust it with people's email addresses? How do I know that this site doesn't store the emails tested and sell them to spammers?

Just because it is within the rights of Twitter to be a dick doesn't mean that it _should_ be a dick, and from where I am standing, Twitter is currently acting like a dick.

Do you have a source on that? I live in Sweden, have an average wage, and we have pretty high taxes, yet I could potentially buy a lot of movies and CDs if I wanted to, and I gather Denmark doesn't have that much higher taxes than Sweden, s

If you are a people-pleaser (and this doesn't necessarily carry a negative connotation), then it's a good tactic for any employer to play the victim card by talking crap about previous "walkers" in order to instill loyalty. You don't want t

Sounds like a great "plan to skip jail and fine". Well, I didn't say it was a good plan. ;) I was merely pointing out that I thought they were anticipating that this was how things would turn out. I would like to add: The statute of limit

You don't understand it correctly. Models are supposed to fit the evidence, otherwise they're incorrect. That's how science works. Say you've gathered evidence of the big bang. You create a model for it. Then, suddenly, for some reason obse

To those downvoting, please specify why. Personally, I can see that parent post shouldn't be here, but a suggestion on where to post it would be helpful so that others don't repeat the same mistake.

I see it like this: Success is relative, yet you can measure success. The more projects you've done, the more successful they ought to become (although some variance on that graph is perfectly normal, I presume). If you don't improve in pul
