I'm not sure what you're trying to say. SQL works quite well in just about every language there is without introducing new syntax. Are you talking about something like LINQ? Nice, but unnecessary.

And without raising awareness of the issue, everybody might always be somewhat vulnerable forever, whereas now that "we know", after being highly vulnerable for a short time everybody's vulnerability to this should drop to zero very quickly

You won't get very far developing GUI applications for modern Unixes using just the original Unix APIs, either. And most Windows programmers today aren't using Win16 APIs. I think you're missing the point. I've written a few iPhone apps

Wormly is great not just for showing whether something's up, but what's been going on with it. I use it like a hosted Cacti for my host and MySQL performance measurement. Very nice.
