Funny how so much is missing. I mean what does work?

I wish Scala could hide monads in syntax as well as Haskell does

I'd say the language is critical in Rust for its type system.

It's a myth that Brazilians are more creative. Doing business in Brazil is incredibly difficult - lack of talent, ethics and terrible financial sector.

I really like Erlang but Elixir has the protocol feature for polymorphism that is really useful. Personally I like the Erlang syntax better but most colleagues find it weird.

I don't think Haskell is hard, but that's once you know it. It takes a lot of insights until you can see that it is really simple. A lot of code can look unreadable but that's just until you become familiar with the idioms.

IT makes sense to mix AI and blockchain on very specific cases. But dropping names as hype is bad. Probably nothing obvious about AI and blockchain.

SQL has a very solid ground in research - a lot of - in relational algebra. If you try to make a query language that is a dsl for anything without a really different data model underneath, you will accomplish nothing great.

The thing I most resent is that dynamic languages are so widespread. It is so pleasurable to write haskell or ocaml!

Syntax is different from abstraction. The problem in doing those things in turing machines and assembly is the low level of programming. Otherwise their syntax is pretty simple: commands and operands.

Pure functions can be even better if they are combinators, I mean, no free variables used. When you have no free variables you have exactly zero dependencies on any other code unit. It makes your code unit testable to the extreme.
