Some context on the validation so far: Elijah Newren, who wrote git's merge-ort (the default merge strategy), reviewed weave and said language-aware content merging is the right approach, that he's been asked about it enough times

The failure mode you're describing is agents verifying themselves. The alternative is structural verification that exists outside the agent's reasoning loop entirely.

Model collapse happens when AI output feeds back into AI training data. That's a real problem for models. But self-sustaining codebases aren't using AI to verify AI. The verification layer is deterministic: dependency graphs, targ

The PR was invented because humans can't be trusted to push directly to main. If automated verification is more thorough than human review (and benchmarks suggest it is), the PR becomes a receipt, not a gate. Has anyone else been think

Git diffs are great for humans scanning line noise. But agents need to understand changes: "added function X", "renamed symbol Y", "moved block Z". sem computes semantic diffs on top of your Git repo—no repo re

Text: Hey HN! I'm Rohan, co-founder of GitArsenal. We built an AI agent that automates the painful "clone, install, build, test" workflow that eats up 60-80% of developer time. The problem: existing AI coding tools like Curso
