I can install chrome on Windows, Linux and Mac, so I give them a pass. Not to mention that was ancient history.

It's not a single file with a simple line of CSS like in the old days. It's a bunch of files, so you need to make sure you do have all the files and understand how exactly these come together.

I needed to figure out exactly which files need to be there, and I needed to understand what's happening in that CSS file. I vaguely remember seeing different content for the CSS file in different browsers. At that time it would take m

I tried to do something similar myself once but quickly gave up. I decided to just slap that line Google gave me in the web page. I get why it is "better" -- CDN, optimized for browser blah blah. But I really wanted to host it mys

Well, we are looking at npm packages, where every package is supposed to follow semantic versioning. The fact that we don't have date as version number means everyone is a good citizen. https://docs.npmjs.com/about-sema

It could be done, but I guess many these institutions think it's futile, especially given Supreme Court's recent stances. Harvard stands out and have secured a temporary win, but who knows what happens in 3 months. I am not optimi

I'll choose tall apartments with 1/2 bedroom rental units over nothing every day. The only people who don't like to see "young people" paying $2500 in rent instead of $3500 for a 400sqft studio are landlords.

You have to acknowledge that every feature in C++ (including the most insane ones) are well justified with real-life use cases in the industry. It is what it is. People who don't like it are using Go/Rust where it makes sense.

If the law has expired, how do they "expand" the law? I am confused. Did they refer to the wrong one?

So the facts we know are that 1) Samsung market share rising from 23% to 31% and 2) they recently released new foldable phones. But do we know that's the actual primary reason for the increase? I couldn't tell that from the articl

If you paid any attention to Chinese phone makers, you wouldn't be writing such comments. It is nice to know that at least some companies are still trying hard to innovate.

My biggest gripe is that art museums, especially modern art museums, play documentary/clips from documentary that last anywhere from 2 minutes to 30 minutes. Those films are not accessible anywhere else. I would be very willing to watc

I have DNS based adblocking on home router, plus adblock extension. Every time I use the web using 5G data or public wifi, I regret the experience. Then I immediately turn on an adblocking VPN.

That is true if a set of good linting rules are set up, those that help discover errors or other code smells which are valid issues in 99% of cases, or pure formatting rules when there is no "correct" thing to do. Linting becomes
