Objective C has been in heavy use for a lot longer then CoffeeScript though. CoffeeScript has only been stable for over a year. Objective C has been in use since before the creation of StackOverflow.

I absolutely agree. I've been hearing predictions about the startup bubble for quite a while now, no doubt the market will fall at some point. Markets are cyclical so you can safely make a prediction once a year and eventually be right. Wha

You could add eBay, Amazon, Craig's List, Yahoo, etc. I don't really think they are outliers - if you offer a product with real value, lack of design may have an impact, but the value you provide to customers will vastly outweigh it. Not th

This sounds great, I stopped using Firefox just over a year ago due to its fairly heavy memory usage. I usually run with 20+ tabs and even on a machine with 4GB of ram it was pretty unpleasant. How are you current Firefox users finding the

It seems to me there are two parts too this. Firstly there is value in solving the problem. It didn't matter that the feeder had rough edges, it did the job. That's ultimately what matters. If it didn't feed the cats it would be considered

Right, I've worked on many projects where it wasn't really possible to gather all requirements up front. This is hugely frustrating to everyone involved but the fact remains that until you have at the very least a working prototype you will

Very true, especially as the FSF has been so instrumental in creating and encouraging the creation of free software. While the FSF have "been against" non free software they have at least helped provide the alternative. In the case of DRM,

What it comes down to: Is the cost of Supporting IE 8 greater then the revenue an extra X% of users will generate. Obviously this comes down to: 1) How much will it cost to support older browsers. 2) How many users do you have/what percenta
