In 2008, a Consumer Reports Money Advisor TV segment that featured http://www.PriceAdvance.com was syndicated to news programs in 15 states right around the holidays. That led to 125k+ installs of our toolbar. In October 2007, the Wall St

Take a look at www.StartupThreadsMonthly.com - they've been running for awhile and do a great job. American Apparel, stickers in the bag, etc. They've taken what we did with StartupSchwag to the next level. Good luck to the hntees guys tho

I've paid $35 for a shirt at a concert. I'd pay $25 for this. At $15 + shipping that's the cost of an American Apparel tshirt with nothing on it. It's pretty reasonable imho.

ValleySchwag went on to start GetSatisfaction. StartupSchwag (which I ran) shut down b/c after 31 months, it was time for other projects. Really excited to see this coming back and I've already signed up!

Is it that evil is efficient or that being "good" (providing positive externalities in the process of delivering goods/services) is less efficient?

Office space with walls is limited but there's lots of coworking space - check out loosecubes.com to search it. Private reserved desks are ~$500/mo. Apartments: nybits.com / streeteasy.com / nakedapartments.com. Look for no fee apartments.

Love the concept and execution. Manually cross referencing "Then and Now" pictures from the Denver Library of Congress made history tangible and finally interesting for me.

... except it's at-will. If you can't negotiate a rate that makes you feel like you're not being exploited, and introduce boundaries that keep you sane, you're doing it wrong.

This is similar to Allify.com (full disclosure, I'm involved in Allify), AppCircle from Flurry.com and Applifier.com's new mobile offering. ChartBoost.com is closely related - it's for mostly closed cross-promotion.

Yes. They're not targeting you. Every major label has a deal with them, nearly every hit on the top 50 for the last 5+ years was pre-screened by management. The last numbers I heard were $1m/year for the service with a $20k/song screening c
