Designing the symbol an application will be known by for thousands of users is NOT a walk in the park. In programming there is an intended result, and for all intents and purposes, it doesn't matter how you get there. It's a 1 or 0 proposit

I can't be bothered to upload. It's a problem, but personally, I'd be worried about security implications of sharing a folder on my hardrive with a webservice? I like your presentation. Very clean. on the Features page, I think changing the

I use mailchimp since wayback and I like them. The later versions are really robust, but i don't think they have an api. Sounds like you want less of a SaaS?

Second dropping the 'Casts' terminology. I would go with webcasts or streams. I would use google's keyword suggestion tool and find out what people are using to search for webcasts, then use those terms. I think you'll loose initial users p

So far from looking at my Mint stats after putting the site up here 5 hours ago, I've gotten only 50 uniques, 3 new user accounts, but only 1 person actually using the app through the AIR install. That looks like a 2% conversion to user rat

Yes, you can create your own flash card sets through a batch sytax or simple form. Curious, did you install the AIR app? If not, I'd love to hear your reason, as I'm worried most people won't install or will fall off during the lengthy air

You need more traffic. Who has a line on people getting shipped packages? E-commerce sites. You could develop a plugin for zencart or any of the other major shopping cart systems that lets users plug their twitter name in to get updates. Th

I'd go with one step, dragging the app over to applications, (I admit it's a bit wonkey) over the 5 separate windows AIR manages to spawn.

Exactly... why they feel the need to go so much further than Apple or even microsoft go with desktop apps is beyond me. The sandbox security restrictions are HUGE as it is and add days of programing time already, why halve our install base

The install process kicks AIRs butt. The sample app tweetanium downloaded as a DMG. I dropped it in my apps folder, opened it, clicked the customary OSx "you got this from the internet", warning and boom I was twitting. Comepare this to AIR

This is farking great! It needs some usability fixes but what I really want to know is... WHY AREN'T THEY CHARGING ME to make tests!?!??! Don't give this away for free! Maybe I could earn credits by taking tests, but please, make some money

Ha! beat me to it. I loved this line: "Web developers should be able to easily create Chromium extensions." Thinking about this after seeing a HN user looking for a FF exten dev. I've developed a simple extension I haven't released yet, and

I think this is kind of a shame. The guy has insane amounts of motivation, insane skills, and even funding for his project, yet he makes a copy of something else. Seems all he was lacking was a great original idea.

Would this work in a JS+HTML AIR app? The Plura for websites iframe code seems like it would work if you got the AIR sandbox requirements right. Also, what is the average CPU percentage your developers run on their clients systems?

Uh, we started this administration with a Budget surplus, and now we are more in debt than ever. How exactly is that fiscally conservative? Not saying democrats are, but if that statment it ever was true, is definitely myth now.

Why shouldn't any developer be able to make almost any app, then make money on it? If this app made 30k, build a truly great app and retire.
