I'm mostly responding to your comment here. "un-minifying or un-obfuscating JavaScript is not a trivial exercise by any means." I think you mean that understanding obfuscated code is not trivial. Un-minifying is certainly trivial. There are

So... ummm... do you have any opening for a developer (vs a teaching developer, which you mention on your website)? :-)

Thanks, great point to plan backward. I think that's a good practice in general, not just as it relates to an incubator.

Yep, I was one of the brainiacs, socially awkward... not necessarily alone. More in the "activities" clique, which was by no means cool. I'm still pretty awkward, honestly. I'm either the life of the party or climbing the walls trying to ge

Experience doesn't have to be on someone else's dime. In fact, if you want to really learn your lesson, there's no better way than to make your mistakes on your own dime.

I don't know if anybody uses proprietary tools to minify and obfuscate their javascript. We all use the same minification tools, with different features selected. Seems like most people use YUI compressor, or one of the others listed here

un-minifying javascript is very trivial. you just copy and paste it into an online javascript beautifier. you won't get the original un-obfuscated source with original comments, but you'll get readable javasript that you can easily parse vi

I really enjoyed and feel inspired by this article. It's given me specific ideas for my next project that I'm excited about. So I was surprised to see mostly negative comments here. But I suppose it's because the ideas and conclusions in th

That happened, but it doesn't actually seem to accept the info from the iphone. I see the accelerometer readings on the iphone, but it doesn't seem to do anything with the page. I tried reloading the page on my laptop and on my phone. Best

I also think developers are getting much savvier about design, and the tools helping developers with design are getting better and better. So the person who winds up doing all the design/html/css/js may not be the person who started out as

"If you're a web designer and you can't do this, it's time to learn. You're a theoretical web designer drawing pictures of websites." I couldn't agree more. At this point, if you're still designing the same way you would for print (and hone

Honestly, google's UI for many things is just awful. I recently had to help an aunt who was trying to import contacts from her old gmail account into her new gmail account. It's a simple enough task if you're on our side of the digital divi
