I used to be a C++ dev before moving to Java/Python. I'd like to go back but there seems to be few roles for people that aren't up to date experts. Is this the case? I'm not sure if the C++ shortage is like the COBOL sho

People care way too much. Brokers used to take huge commissions, now the HFT market makers really aren't as exploitative as people's imaginations believe. Virtu is a good example, its a $3B market cap, less than half the size of T

I'm all for sick days but not if you can save them up. The cops in my town used to retire with a career's worth of sick days saved which they get paid out in cash (at their final salary). Now I think they get paid annually instead

Middle East already has a lot of workers from Asia. People follow the money, if the works is there the people will follow. The biggest problem is if it gets too hot to be able to live.

Surely Real Rates are the issue? Ie now when inflation is 7%+ and rates are 4%, rates are effectively lower than when inflation is 2% and rates are 1%. I'm not buying lots of these analyses.
