One advantage of SMS no one else has mentioned. It doesn't suck battery like running Whatsapp and Telegram and Signal and Messenger and Element like I am right now.

What tech does OpenAI actually have? I thought GPT was most of the smarts and the website was just VC money to burn through cloud resources. I'd think Google can do the same but realize the compute costs just make it too expensive.

I think too that younger developers are more enthusiastic and naive, they just go in and do the work. Experienced people can see more complex cases, more failure conditions, more future paths and end up making the task more complicated than

Yeah these HFTs aren't big companies, they buy and sell stocks quickly. After the 87 crash big banks could buy billions of dollars of stocks and bonds because banks are huge and could do this to both protect the market, their customers

Outside America this has been pretty common or even worse. FTSE100 (UK), CAC40 (France) are right now trading the same values as 1999. Nikkei is the same level as 1988. HK is same as 2007.

I wonder too if modern working couples makes a difference. Only a few decades ago the wife looked after the kids and fathers went to the bars, societies etc to hang out. During the day women met up in other venues.
