It gets most of its cooling from the air flow. Cover up all openings if your car and you will overheat the engine very quickly. If you put a car on a dyno you usually put a big fan in front of the car to provide cooling.

"Maybe the incentives to be able to bullshit your way to a professorship are so great that no one wants to rock the boat." Our whole economy is fueled by people bullshitting each other.

I was friends with some hedge fund guys in the 2000s. The way they presented it was that some funds have good technology but in the end there is a ton of insider information going around. It may not be strictly illegal (I don’t know) but pe

You have to look at the whole picture. The people who drive to the theater emit CO2. Same for car racing. I bet the emissions caused by the race cars are dwarfed by the emissions of people driving to any larger music concert.

I could imagine that it will change the way you perceive things. There are experiments where people got goggles that switched the left and right eyes and people adjusted after a few days.

“And then there are the adventurers, who randomly show up on skis or in an Arctic Truck..” That’s an interesting point. A while ago I had a discussion with a flat earther who claimed that the military won’t allow anyone close to Antarctica.
