I am not anthropomorphizing chickens. I think they live in a different world, have different interests and think about different things than humans.

That’s like old fashioned biology when people thought only humans have consciousness and other animals are just mindless machines.

Chickens totally have different personalities. Some are shy, some are friendly, some are adventurous, some are timid. And it can change. They aren’t machines.

Totally agree. Just watch a dog trying to solve a problem. They try something, take a break to think about it and then try something else. They have emotions. Maybe not exactly the same emotions humans have but they can be happy, depressed

What is the motivation behind pouring tons of sugar into almost every food? Is it to change people’s tastes and make them addicted so they eat even more sugary? I am always shocked how much added sugar is put into foods where you wouldn’t e

I also think coding is not very suitable for a lot of people. It’s tedious and boring. I notice at my company there are quite a few young people who simply aren’t cut out for this. They probably got into it because it’s a well paid career b

It’s ok to hate on Nestle but let’s not forget that most of the food industry is basically leading a war on the world’s health in search of profits. The amount of terrible ingredients and misleading information they are putting on the marke

Lobbyists know how to play the game. Block local rules because it would be reasonable to have consistent standards state wide. Once that's achieved, block state wide rules. Then block federal rules.

I remember talking to a guy who had to design an elevator in a 747 for some Arab king. Quite a challenge to make sure this would not get stuck while the plane flexes a little.

The only marketing a hospital should do is by publishing quality metrics and cost. That’s all patients need to know.

I made this observation by working in different companies and also looking at the statistics which companies apply for H1B. Amazon is far up and then Infosys, Tata and other body shops. Other tech companies are way down the list.

From my observation the number of highly qualified H1Bs is a small share of the total number. Most are average or below average that are held captive by Infosys and friends.

A hospital shouldn’t do have to do marketing. They should focus on providing health care.

That’s not how it works. There are plenty of examples where a fighter faked being hurt or they recovered quickly . “Obviously out” is very rare.

I think there is some moral clarity in the Ukraine situation. There was simply no good reason to attack Ukraine. I understand that the Russians may be worried about the NATO expansion but that doesn’t justify to lead such a war.
