I guess you'll have a hard time trying to find a service, video calls and else, that doesn't have terms similar to these.

I'm not a lawyer or anything related, but this reading of Zoom's terms of use seems really off. They could've done a better job explaining their AI stuff/data usage, but the reality (after reading the ToS) is far from wh

And yet, I keep using TextEditor (macOS default text editor) in plain text and, when syncing is needed, Simplenote. Sometimes people overcomplicate things that are, in essence, pretty simple.

I wonder why people keep/rely on a messaging app as a source/storage/backup (?) for things like pictures. Isn’t that kinda inadequate…?

This stigma, not by coincidence, is reinforced by economic elites. It’s part of their playbook, and they are pretty convincing for a lot of people.

Hate speech is rampant and the service is falling apart. I guess we can agree that Twitter is in a much worse shape than it was before Musk took over. I can live with people that think different than me (I really enjoy that!). The problem w

I was conflating the two indeed. My bad! Anyway, many banks don't charge fees on Pix for business accounts, which they could, due to competition. Also, for small, individual merchants/professionals (“MEI”, in Brazilian lingo), Pix

This isn’t luck, it’s good branding work. Let’s celebrate good work in areas other than tech :)

Yes, because it’s monumentally wrong. See my comment above.

You’re misinformed. Brazilian income tax is progressive. In your example, 20% tax would be applied only to the 1k of 31k. Please stop spreading misinformation.

There’s no tax on transactions between individuals by default. When dealing with business, banks can charge a small tax from business side only, but most banks waive this fee for competitive reasons. Pix is so well designed and nice to use

Yeap, that’s the case. Pix is awesome, but is being used to scam people all around the country. Our Central Bank is trying to tackle this issue since with new features, such as limiting transaction at night (when kidnapping is more common)

It’s obligatory only for major banks. For smaller ones it’s optional, and yet a thousand banks was participating on day one.
