Maybe I am reading it wrong, but the license seems to say that Yelp exclusively owns IP rights to all derivative works. Hopefully I am reading it wrong, but if not then definitely not cool in my opinion.

I think you are conflating technical maturity with societal maturity. The Romans were technically the most advanced in their time and also equally or more barbaric than their less advanced neighbors. I hope some of what you say happens, and

Distribution always take time. Even if LPP [1], achieves what they are attempting which would be a complete game changer, it would take time to distribute the fusion power plants. Or one of the other projects succeeds, same thing. In additi

In this particular case, I received ~20 resumes for 1 job and 80% were not Ruby-only resumes. So yes the Ruby-only screened them out. However I would have gone back and contacted them if none of the other 80% of candidates worked out.

A bit black and white there. I generally agree that resumes should not be a top indicator, but they can be useful to screen out some people. For example, I once posted a job that included the word "Ruby". I thought the job posting

How does this compare to Apache Tika? There is also a Node wrapper for Tika but don't remember the name of the module off the top of my head.

In theory yes, in practice I mostly disagree. The ideal is to test everything, the public API and all the internals. But there are only so many hours in the day so if you have to choose (which most of us do) then the best place to put the m

You definitely seem to know more about it than me, but I question your assertion that there hasn't been any rail construction north of 72nd. Some of the construction, such as raising the bridge at 128, seems strange if the construction

I personally don't find much use for a CDN when dealing with a typical website's CSS, JS, images until you have very large traffic. You can concat and minify your CSS and JS files, and add a cache control header to all static cont

The term 4k has been around much longer than 1080p, etc. It is a term from computer graphics and the movie industry which means 4096x2160 (17:9 ratio) or 4096x3072 (4:3 ratio). I have helped build, test, and used "4k" tiled wall d
