Great addition. Pretty seamless how you can comment right from the Rapportive sidebar on people's FB postings.

Very interesting set of takes, thanks Jason. I think "LP without the fees" is the most provocative...

Very good illustration of needing an experienced startup lawyer. It's true. And really interesting story in its own right :)

I think there are some good parallels. The analogy of Dharmesh as Jordan is funny :) although he is a great sensei of course. I especially agree with disregarding the press and short-term events/wins. Working hard every day builds up over t

Great progress, congrats! Your site design is really fantastic. Not just the look but the demo video, Get Started call to action, etc.

Agreed, it's a tough problem. I think Boston investors want to support Boston startups, but because of their structure/individual limitations (mentioned in the article) they can't necessarily "take one for the team" if it's investing 20% of

I think those are very fair questions. On the one hand I agree a lot of startups can be derivative and may not pass the "how is this making the world better" question. But at the same time, that's a much higher bar than most companies are h

Noah, excellent breakdown as usual. And I totally agree with your take (vs. Wesabe's post-mortem post). I'm going to send your article to like a dozen people right now, that I preach this stuff to and don't believe me :)

Great ideas, many detailed that I have not seen laid out openly before. Being very selective about "who really wants in on the closed beta" is a great point.

Likewise, proud investor! And totally addicted user. Rahul, Sam and Martin are really capable and some of the best at listening to users and to the market.

Very interesting. The top 10 are pretty expected, but the rest are more meaty. Great to see @dcurtis at #11 and @yegg at #32. Wouldn't have expected @garyvee to be big with the HN crowd. Definitely some people in the bottom half of the top

This is a slightly tricky one because I do think there is potential for the tax change to negatively impact funding available for startups. However, the impact should be minimal and I agree with Fred Wilson that carried interest fees are no
