I have found creating a fake commute is the only way to make it work. Basically I have a walk that I do that gets me 'to' and 'from' the office (a shed in the garden) - which adds up to just under 10k steps a day. I&#x27

I'd love factorio to be deckified. I've had rimworld on the list for a while but never taken the plunge. What's the hook?

This is great, thanks for the link. I suppose I just find it strange that they haven't yet suggested what the revenue generation is for them as a whole. I only say this anecdotally, but I am pretty certain Next/Vercel/Zeit, D

Is it me or is Remix sort of a weird, and slightly sketchy flip of the OSS money making pipe? I understand that people can take open source projects and turn a business around them by providing hosting (Vercel/Next for example), but ha

this was my first thought. Bendable technology doesn't just mean curved viewing, it has some really cool pratical uses like this roll-y up thing. You could also imagine one from the ceiling like a garage door. No more wall mounted TVs

Can anyone fathom how a M2 MBP 13inch would stack up against the current M1Pro MBP 14-16inch? This whole CPU/GPU thing is hard to make out. An 8core M2 which has 12% more oomph then an M1 makes it equivalent to a 8.96core M1? What&#x27

another +1 for Fly.io. They also use heroku buildpacks so very easy to pull across.

Tomato sauce, wine, soups, and other liquid foodstuffs are excellent contenders for ice cube trays. A housemate in university introduced me to 'red wine cubes' from the freezer for chucking into beef Ragu and it turned my world ri

I almost giggled when I heard it. I recognised it instantly (but have heard the end song more times then I could possibly count). I still listened to the rest hoping there might be more, and was fascinated by the whole thing. This is a trul

Implemented them into our platform this morning! Love them. We have a space/aurora type theme so the marbles with the right color scheme look great - we only use them as fallback if users don't provide their own.

I am having severe PTSD flashbacks of 'In the Night Garden'. This was supposed to help my children sleep, but only served to haunt my nightmares. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcD2Y_ciHCw

I should also say. The blog, as well as the analytics, all runs on the cluster. So apologies to anyone too far away from the UK - it might be quite a trip!

Hey HN. I have been building a Raspberry Pi K8s cluster in my 'downtime'. I've actually found it super useful to get closer to the architecture that I remotely control every day. I really recommend it for anyone who DevOps, S

Hear hear! Factorio is exceptional - if it was more accessible it would be held up as the greatest game ever. But then, if it was more accessible, it wouldn't be the greatest game ever... scream!

Like a few of you I get the sentiment in this, but disagree pretty hard. Wordpress commenting is a minefield, and from my experience has many issues - particularly around moderation. A lot of the suggestions in the comments here show there

Fair point. I wonder whether there are specific themes with developers at least because of the value of knowledge and trying to get as much of that out as possible. I was once told to write docs for 3 months and maybe 10% of them were actua
