This is the correct take and why productive conversation around this topic is so challenging. Even if their actual goal is their stated goal their world view is so different from those who disagree with them it’s near impossible to use evid

Not a lot of packages but more than 0. For example I’m working on a small static site generator so I’m using lunamark. Fennel has the ability to compile[0] to a binary that works pretty well and very well so long as you don’t have any dynam

I’ve been playing with Janet recently as well and really enjoying it. It does seem slightly abandoned though. I can’t tell if it’s similar to what’s happening with Common Lisp where thins are simply complete, or if the small ecosystem that

I was able to renew my passport fully online last year. We were finally getting somewhere with building good government tech. Really sucks that in order to prove their point that government is always useless they’ve decided to just destroy

That makes sense. I’m just thinking statistically though. All we’ve proven is that some asteroids have R-amino acids. If it’s a 50/50 shot you could easily find a dozen R asteroids because it starts to look really bad for it being a 50

That’s definitively helpful thank you. I guess I’m still surprised that this finding is being taken to mean left handed molecules couldn’t have come from asteroids. If anything it seems to me to increase the likelihood of the panspermia hy

I don’t know a ton about how chirality works. Couldn’t it just be that half(or some number) the asteroids contain left handed and half contain right? We only have a sample of one. Or is there something fundamental about left handed molecule

I agree with your takeaway however the comment you’re replying to is reacting to the tone and the presentation and I agree with them. The two points in the article, that 80% is done by 20% and that to get to 20% all you need is relatively l

I agree it’s a huge disgrace and half of the US is living in a fantasy land. However polls show that Americans don’t like Putin. A poll two weeks ago[0] actually showed 81% of Americans do not trust Putin. Finding 81% agreement about anythi
