It looks like you need to switch to GPU rendering. Here's a similar example, done in WebGL, it renders very nicely in a browser, hundreds times faster than your renerer: http://madebyevan.com/webgl-path-tracing/ (switch material to mirror

To build the world's most extraordinary town you first must be outside of US jurisdiction. I suggest you build a modular island out of plastic bottles instead.

You just described every large corporation I have ever worked at. Middle management is backstabbing each other, while ignoring advice and ideas from the developers, and driving projects into the ground with no repercussions. I never underst

Yahoo lost. It's the new AOL. It has a few nice products, but only a miracle acquisition will save it.

People google things, nobody yahoos things. Yahoo is not cool. yahoo.com is a joke, it's a page full of garbage. Rebranding might help, but it's very very expensive, and it will only postpone the inevitable. Yahoo needs to invent something

I would add a per-test pricing plan, which is useful when you need to do just a few tests while developing, rather than forking $19/month. 99c to test in 5 different browser/OS combinations would be cool.

I've seen many PHP frameworks, and this in anything but simple. Starting with something like Kohana requires almost no training, while this uses some really advanced PHP stuff, which means your junior and mid level programmers will spend a

According to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, OKCupid is not liable for its users' actions, and doesn't have to do shit within 24 hours. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_Decency_Act#Sect... There's no way in the w

This has nothing to do with OKCupid. Just because somebody used them to target you, doesn't make them liable. What if I create a public Google doc with all your private info and some lies? Will you sue Google?

A similar thing happened to me twice (though I was never fired, but rather let go with nice severance packages). Glowing reviews for a year / year and a half, then out of nowhere they would let me go. I learned a few things 1) Every time yo

Read it again. The distribution of filtered reviews doesn't match between average and the one for Yelp itself. Clearly doctored.

If you do this, you might as well stream them on a hulu-like site, and even charge a little (do some A/B testing to find the "sweet spot"). It's actually easier to skip ads while watching downloads.

They need better examples in the video. There's nothing that wowed me. All I saw is some lame and boring interactive "art". At the same time I understand that something really cool can be done. So show us something truly cool.
