They could, but that doesn't change anything, Yahoo is still US based and can be forced to do whatever they want.

Most people won't bother compiling from open source. We need a trusted company outside of jurisdiction of all these insane new laws.

If anybody develops a truly secure messaging system, free from NSA's snooping, it won't be Yahoo. Simply because Yahoo is US based and can be secretly forced to change the code or push a hidden update that will decrypt everything.

That's exactly why LavaBit shut down, looks like they were forced to do that.

It all happens on the client side. Servers only store the encrypted emails and have no idea what the contents or the keys are.

Considering what just happened to LavaBit, your advice doesn't make any sense. If they were outside of US-and-friends jurisdiction, they wouldn't be shut down and there wouldn't be a gag order.

Hey, I would love to be proven wrong on this. I love the concept. I just don't see it happening. They won't even hit the half.

Just a hype for his movie. This all reminds me of how some famous supposed atheists convert to a religion X and then write books about it selling millions of copies. Same shit. You're being manipulated. We don't need a mediocre su

No, it can't. Most of that money was raised in the first five days when the hype stared. The contribution rate actually slowed down and nothing short of a miracle will change that. http://s.4pda.to/wp-content/uploa

Benchmarking a fast remote static server is pointless. You're basically benchmarking your internet connection.

Even if you can look them up fast, doesn't mean you can run the raycasting logic fast enough on that amount of detail.

Google images is great for that. Search by keywords, then set the minimum resolution under "Search Tools". 8 megapixels should be enough for a good print. 20 megapixels - for huge ones.

Apart from the cutting-edge APUs (like AMD Kaveri implementing hUMA), the memory of integrated GPUs and previous generation APUs was separate and copying chunks of it in between happened via the bus. Plus since we're talking about cutt

I think you are confusing RAM speed and the bus/PCIe bandwidth.

Well, websites control their cookies, so it's up to them to determine how secure they want to be. They can even encrypt them if they wanted to.

If we're talking about game logic, I agree. If we're talking about rendering beautiful complex worlds with post-processed special effects, I disagree.

Gaming is limited by the CPU/GPU, and a bit by the bandwidth in between. Not by the RAM speed/latency.

Bull. Shit. My wife is a vegetarian. I've tried probably 8-10 different brands of vegie burgers and chicken nuggets. They don't taste even remotely like meat. Some do taste alright, I admit. Another problem is price. You would thi
