Minecraft was developed by one person - Markus Persson (aka Notch), at least till 2011 when it already got insanely popular.

That's one of the reasons why Minecraft is so much bigger than DF. These guys just don't get it. DF can be SOOOOO much better, yet they are working on adding features instead making the game better.

Outrage is useless. Protests won't stop shit. Did they stop the wars? Nope. It's what you do with that situation is important. I'd say an independent party should use privacy as an opportunity, a platform, name the responsibl

The main problem, and many designers make that mistake, is that you're modeling a physical thing inside an app for no good reason. Other than the nice visuals it doesn't help anything. As a designer, you should think of how to mak

You assume you will sell close to 100% of the slots. Which you won't. Not even close. If you sell 20%, which is crazy high, you will have to charge them 5 times the price just to break even.

You didn't answer the question. You were asked what features would make a Google Doc user switch, and instead of naming those you went full PR and named the features (at least two out of three) Google Docs have. This kind of dishonesty

It's not about selfishness, it's just that most easy problems got solved, and we're left with really really hard ones. Cancer is so mind-boggingly complex that one person cannot even begin to look at ways to solve it on his

My point was, the biggest barrier to flying is not the price of the plane, but the desire to jump through all the hoops to get the license, to spend time/money on maintenance, to spend time on driving to the airport.

For those unfamiliar with planes, you can buy a used ultralite plane for under $10,000 in working condition. Something that has been proven to fly reliably.

How often OS/network/context overhead is the bottleneck? In my experience most of the time it's the DB. Even if it fits in RAM, complex queries always take most of the time. (Web dev here).
