I know that you're imagining, "The Rational Mob". But you'll always end up with the violent angry type though.

The response will have it consequences too, lost lives, destroyed businesses, ruined families, lost requirement savings.

There was a comment on HN a few days ago basically saying, "what's wrong with panic, maybe we should be panicking" and I just found that comment frightening. We mock all the "idiots" buying up the toilet paper, bu

It's possible, the market jumps at every little bit of good news. Once we are on the other side of the curve, we'll see what happens.

Quinine is amazing stuff and quite easy to make, but the poison is in the dosage. Controlling that when you're making your own with cinchona bark isn't something you want to do trial and error style, serious side effects.

Sugar, not fat is the killer. Incredible how for decades bad research and the likes of Ancel Keys and Phil Sokolof put the health of millions at risk.

Seriously, what does CNN mean for most people, even on HN. Would this be receiving as much attention if they had used "Convolutional Neural Networks" instead of just CNN?

It's going to spread here, I'd rather have it and get immunity sooner than later when it's full swing and treatment might be limited.

"Calm. down. breathe. We hear you," site founder Zuckerberg wrote in a message responding to the protests. They heard, they just didn't care. Condescending as well.

Microsoft has turned Google's own weapon against them, crazy. Once they bundle it with W10, it's really going to take off. It's smart they changed the logo too.

Never had Allstate, but I had a similar experience with Amica. My auto premium increased every year despite no changes to my driving record. I called and the rep explained my policy was going up because of an accident from over 3 years ag

The store I'm suggesting would contain commercial, non FOSS apps as well. There are some apps I use that will probably never be open source and there's no website version either. For wider adoption, I think this would be necessar

Absolutely, but the news is causing a low level panic as they do report numbers, but don't emphasize what the numbers mean. I guess that's also the viewers fault as the math is grade school simple.

Yeah, I stopped worrying a few weeks back after I saw the mortality rate. It's basically a highly virulent flu with the same risk factors. Not on the same level as sars and the like.

I did this (4x10) for about a year at a previous company, really enjoyed it. The hardest part was coming back after the 3 day weekend, it always felt like coming back from vacation.

I like companies like Sharetown, they help prevent things from just ending up in a landfill and they make money doing it. There's a computer recycling company near me that does pretty well reselling equipment sent to them for recyclin
