Without more explanation, 'put my faith in logic and mathenatics instead of a person or institution' sounds like an empty statement to me. You are still betting on your belief that other human beings will want to buy bitcoins over

I may be misinformed, but I see proof of work schemes as something that will inevitably lead to a tremendous waste of energy -- the last thing we should do if we still want to inhabit this planet in a few decades. If a centralized authority

I briefly tried Web Audio to implement a Karplus-Strong synthesizer (about the simplest thing in audio synthesis I guess?). Without using ScriptProcessorNode, there was no way of tuning the synthesizer because of the limitation that any loo

Do you have to manually add a list item for each slider tick? Really clever, but I hope I'll never end up as the poor sap who has to maintain this kind of code.

Her dad apparently made a great recovery; the sad thing is that the event that made it possible is a heart attack, i.e. an organic condition. Shows how little society cares about mental illness IMHO (although free will issues have been poin

Really? Before socialized welfare, your place within the community was entirely tied to your working ability. Too old to farm? Go sleep under the stairs. Then take a walk in the forest in winter and don't come back.

I haven't seen conditionals or loops widely used within Maven's XML.

There is an issue with the battery technology though. AFAIK these cars must stay plugged and draw power when not in use to keep the battery above 70C.
