Haven’t gone through all 500 but I’m curious if the author would pass “What’s the official name of the Go programming language?”

You might enjoy reading “The ADHD advantage” by Anders Hansen. He describes the evolutionary explanation as well.

It’s what I thought as well, but I’m not too much into electronics to hold an opinion. It looks like there’s a balancing resistor between them: https://gitlab.com/why2025/team-badge/Hardware/-/blob/m

I’ve been taught that in the length it can expand/contract at most 1%, but in the width at most 10%. This is also why properly designed tabletops are attached to the frame with a “floating” construction that can handle those changes.

I’m afraid your CSS triangles are still rendered through rasterization but a good job nonetheless.

This was a great article back then but Go’s errors package has changed since then quite a bit, with e.g. Is, As, and fmt.Errorf’s %w.

I searched closely through the ads and finally found some text that linked to an article closer to the source, which I found more readable: https://www.cambridge.org/core/blog/2025/05/06/illuminating

The parent I was replying to was talking about Go. There is no ternary operator in Go. There are no non-block forms of if in Go. I'm not sure what your "of course" is referring to, but I guess it is unrelated.

Say that the defer would execute inside for loops, what would make you more astonished: loops and functions are the exceptions, or defers execute at the end of any block? I would prefer the latter of these two. But then the consequence is

Depends on the audience. As a user I'd rather see "can't load data: failed to parse header: wrong number of elements" than a stack trace with WrongNumbersOfElementsException at the tail.

I guess I won’t be adding new information to what your “experts” said as well, but hey. I love Go’s error handling. Syntactic sugar like in Rust could’ve made things a bit nicer to they eye, but apart from that: being forced to think about

Thanks for your comment, it made me do my homework. And apologies, I lazily viewed the first dozen rows and assumed that it was a simple high to low sort, and I was wrong. The author used https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki

I would rather go to a restaurant with a 4.9 rating based on 1000 reviews than to a restaurant with one with a 5 rating based on 1 review. Makes me wonder: how would that feeling translate into a ranking function though.

Thanks for asking. Came here to ask since I was curious about this too. I don't find any of the replies here convincing: - List of open wifis: AFAIK, and in my experience, apps need special permissions to do anything at the wifi level.

Lot of gRPC hate here. I like gRPC in terms of an API specification, because one only needs to define the “what”, whereas OpenAPI specs are about the “how”: parameter in path, query, body? I don’t care. Etc. Plus the tooling: we ran into ca

The error to code in the http handler is the true path. It’s the only place where the context and knowledge is about semantics. In one endpoint if something is not found it can be a proper 404, if its existence is truly optional. In another
