Bear in mind that some people are more visual, so I think the interactive visualization should serve as a complement to the 100-1000 words that describe it, not an in-place substitution... (Also, let's not forget about the visually imp

Agreed, my only pet-peeve has been the default behavior of attaching modal dialogues to the parent window (thus preventing dragging capability, without resizing the text). This can be fixed with gnome-tweaks.

You're right. The mentioned likelihood would be for 8.4 times in a row: 3:1000 → 1:333⅓ P = 1 / (1 + 333⅓) n = |log(1/334⅓)| n ≈ 8.3851

Nice game! How do you refuel or collect debris? Is that discarded when another player dies? Edit: Nvm. It seems I wasn't noticing debris being generated by shooting it instantly.

I don't mean to disagree... yak-shaving is fun, and you get to learn about the internal workings of so many tools during the whole process (I myself am trying to have every project 'make'-able, with self-documenting Makefiles

If it becomes cheaper to re-use or recycle than to throw away—in theory—we will reduce wastefulness and come up with better ways to deal with our problem. But, humans being humans, some will start dumping illegally.

That's one of the things that keeps me from buying TV's: it'll eventually be a big security hole that will be the probable main entry point for an intrusion; I'm looking into projectors for the moment.

It does mention that it is very preliminary: Some studies suggest a link between exposure to light at night, such as working the night shift, to some types of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. That's not proof that nightti

Pretty interesting. I wonder if bio-hackers from the future will tinker for fun and exchange very large steganographic 'files' that, if read in a certain order, produced the complementary DNA (cDNA) [0] of a patented organism. [0]
