There is some good health advice mixed in with the rest of the MAHA lunacy, particularly around diet and exercise. Unfortunately their stances on vaccines, supplements, and mental health make are still awful

I am using Claude code to manage my obsidian vault. It is easier because my notes generally break down over time as I’m less motivated to organize new ideas. I use voice to text in the terminal to say things like “add this task to this proj

I feel like this isn't really a new or novel thing? Storing cash in a bank has risks, storing crypto in any sort of method also has risks, right? Sadly for those in unstable countries there are lots more risks in life, including financ

Meta tried to create their own VR and AR specific os, but that project ended up being cancelled. John Carmack was against the idea for a while when he was there. Turns out modifying android was a much better starting point!

To people saying that "your boss can open it" being an benefit of csv, well I have a funny story! Back in the early 2000s I designed and built a custom data collector for a air force project. It saved data at 100 Hz on an SD card.

It’s a pretty easy question! I always categorize my answer in a few parts - why am I excited about the product (helps people! Makes the world a better place!), the technology (I like how it is a combo of hardware and software!), and specifi

These grifters take something that sounds bad but out of context, make way too big a deal about it, then turn around and sell you supplements to fix the problems. I have no idea why anyone trusts them but it seems to work

I suppose out of context it seems out of nowhere, but if you follow some of these influencers they act like it is literally impossible for anything bad to happen with guns around. I enjoy shooting myself (don't really do it frequently

So much for the "guns don't shoot themselves!!" argument you occasionally hear from gun nuts. Yes they can and do shoot themselves!

I think robotics might be the next frontier of AI. I would not be surprised to see AI used at least at the low level for motor planning type activities like digging with a shovel...

There are certainly tradeoffs, but I find that in general shorter line lengths are better. - easy to lay out multiple splits side by side. Over 100 tends to have issues. - long variable names or function names tend to be a code smell. Same
