   The op is invoking racism and colonialism because the article struck a nerve in the sense that they feel criticised that they aren't on time. Surely that's not an ideal argument. That's what I meant.

   In Gmail you can search by dates. And for convenience I've a filter for from me to me with journal title. Stats wouldn't be possible (of the top of my head) but I don't care about that much.

    Comparing pay directly like that is not very fair. Many other things need to be taken into account including cost of living and services.

    I think another big part of it is down to the lack of regulation. Other countries with similar socioeconomic conditions tend to regulate things quicker plus have social programmes (healthcare, workers rights etc) The US does neither. I thin
