I agree I was stupid to have forgotten that the code was not in email but in a text message (not finding anything in the email made me give up and get back into the reservation line). But it is pretty idiotic to not allow us to use our rese

When I can run xcode, matlab, microsoft word, endnote, spss, sas and every other software product that make me somewhat productive, then I'll buy the post-PC garbage. And I'm not even a developer.

It will be interesting to find out if most of the people buying the 128GB models will either be affluent assholes or those who do a shit ton of photo/video(/music?) editing on their iPads.

Not sure if you tried the search string. "More than 100 people" were returned on this and most of them in the top results were indeed employed elsewhere.

That doesn't indicate that a significant number of Facebook users "wanted" it.

And oh.. you want some potential cheating women (or men)? Try "Married women who like Ashley Madison"... ;)

Just realized that Graph Search is a great tool to aggregate homosexuals in any area - "Men who live nearby and are interested in men" (or replace "men" with "women"). Great tool for taking homophobia to a whole new level. One can of course

You need to take a break from your Facebook apologism. It's getting cartoonish.

Are you intentionally being dense? Where is the data that showed "consumers wanted it"?

This sorta proves what I have been saying about Graph Search. Its biggest and most prominent use cases will be fancy but useless searches of people. Unfortunately some of those searches will lead to new headaches.

Unless you have a revolutionary and marketable idea and are 110% confident about executing it with the utmost discipline that will guarantee something that you can call "success", please stay in school. Sorry if my tone is dick-ish - I'm ju

With all due respect, that's some priceless apologist BS. You still didn't outline the fucking strategic goal being served here with this "perfect tactic". If the course is to stay a major dick in the software world, then yes it is par for

And what strategic purpose does it serve Apple by "not putting things it doesn't like" in the App Store?

Which in the larger scheme of things is a moronic position because the same device they are trying to keep pristine and pure through their app store can be used to see dirty things through the Web. We know what Apple has always been respond

Umm.. how about opening up Siri to the app developers? I think that will improve its utility. Oh and they could hire a few more top notch distributed systems guys to figure out how to handle server load better for the massive amount of real

Sorry but mimicking meetup.com is not a big thing. Very few people like to meet up with strangers regardless of similarities in hobbies/activities. This will cater to a niche crowd and that will be it. This is a great feature on Facebook bu

Does Instagram have the critical mass that Facebook has? Personal anecdote: I have stopped sharing photos on instagram since Facebook made it easier to share photos (especially in bunch) on mobile.

I'll repeat. "If you start free, stay free. If you start with $$$, then try to go to $$. That's just the way it will always work." Try not to get too philosophical about it. User expectations are set and managed by the service providers. If

Pros: 1. You can pinch to zoom while during turn-by-turn navigation 2. You can select a point anywhere in the map and it instantaneously gives you the time to drive there from your current location (which is also a link to the navigation de

I own an iPad 3 and played with the mini at an Apple Store. The screen really felt unimpressive. Also dimension-wise, Nexus 7 felt more "natural" on my palm compared to the iPad mini, although iPad mini more than compensates with its tablet

Yeah but undoing sending something to someone as opposed to editing a text file feels like pure magic, not to mention the fact that the undo link is right up there in front of you after you have clicked Send.

Is your privacy risk through these particular ads really worth $200? In other words, do you think your information would add $200 to the bottomline of Amazon (or whoever is placing those ads)?
