This is a great point and it makes we worried that EFF might be pivoting to be less about the technological frontier and more about social issues.

I have never seen KKK posts on X. Either you're commenting from personal experience, in which case, wow, who were you following, or you're going off reporting which would seem to be a bit skewed.

If you do that constantly then people rightly start to write off your performances as insignificant. Everyone should pick their battles because we all have a limited number of fucks to give about what anyone else does.

I feel like you should have a much higher bar for the label of Nazi than you clearly do.

I find it telling that both of those sources (one of which cites the other btw) conflate posts about "race science" and posts that are "anti-immigration conspiracies". These are not remotely the same thing. Elon is clear

Here's my simple criteria. I'm on Twitter/X, but none of the other social media sites they list (I mean, I'm on LinkedIn, but not in any sort of regular way). So their reach to me personally is diminished. Obviously I&#x

I was not dismissing the comment's claim, simply the poor evidence. This is better evidence, albeit uncited.

This seems completely unnecessary and performative. I have a hard time understanding how reducing their reach could possibly be helpful to the goals of the organization. I'm definitely going to keep donating to them, but I'm conce

Hard for a bad engineer to hire a good one maybe? If so, not the biggest problem to have.

So /dev/random would presumably work just as well here too. This is kinda closer to the LLM building a game on its own.

The USA does not remove your videos from YouTube, Google does because they don't have the resources to evaluate all copyright claims and they are afraid of getting sued. You're welcome to host your own videos.

I think the people blocking content in Europe and those "protecting democracy" in the US share most of the same political beliefs.

This is of course an influence campaign, just like government ads to get people not to smoke are influence campaigns, but where's the misinformation?

The foreign policy of calling out silly censorship in Europe and violations of fundamental freedoms and making European countries implicitly acknowledge it by blocking a US site? Seems great. Wish Europe didn't censor free speech.

Yeah if you leave enough junk in any orbit it'll become a problem, but I don't think that's necessarily an argument not to put things in that orbit. You'd just need to not hit that critical limit where things become unte

Sorry I misspoke, you're totally correct. What I meant to say was it's only a problem if they're orbiting around the Earth. I've heard sun orbits mentioned as a possibility for data centers.

Android was in development well before iOS was released, really the only big change was the touchscreen, which is obviously revolutionary, but that's a long-way from "Android is a reaction to iOS".
