I read this after seeing Oppenheimer. Just a tremendous book. I learned so much from his description of the early debates around the structure of atoms. It really illuminates the theorists' struggles with quantum mechanics and how, as

Ejecta was a project that implemented WebGL with JavaScript bindings -- basically everything you need for a web game without the DOM. It implemented enough of WebGL to run Impact-based games.

This might be a good moment to drop a thing I made last year but never shared the link for. It's a bitmap editor that outputs Apple ][ shape tables. https://robterrell.github.io/shape_table_maker/shape_draw.ht...

Same effect for me inside the US, west coast versus east coast. Dr. Dobb's had an incredible run of relevancy, from the 70's through the 90's.

I've seen Waymos on the 280 between San Jose and SF countless times over the past year. I guess those were not operational rides, just tests?

I have been using contacts and just got the zeiss lenses today. So far it's roughly equivalent. I think there is a touch more distortion (chromatic aberration along the edges) with the inserts. But my contacts are progressives and kind

I have an Outbound too! IIRC there's a weird little 7.5v battery that I had to replace to get it to boot up (roughly the diameter of a AA battery, but 1/3 the length) -- maybe check that out?
