Notice the Gtalk icon on the desktop. Which is not to say that I believe this is real, just that this is not the startup screen.

I'm sorry but building your business on another business's data without explicit permission from them is just setting yourself up for this kind of thing.

This isn't some kind of surprise. It has been discussed for some time now. There is also no reason for a developer to use it if it's not wanted.

Exactly. That's the same kind of approach detractors to Windows take. Blue screens are actually caused by third-party driver issues, for example, yet are still used as a negative point when they are virtually nonexistent in current versions

Zynga has one trick, that they don't always do well. I would suggest NOT emulating them.

Wow, this is a horrible article. Where does the author get his facts about the quality level of "most" PHP developers? Sounds like typical religious flaming and half-arsed fud.

I love the hell out of zombie movies but unless you're really going to do something unique it may end up being too cliche. I second the advice on just using another variation on the post-apocalyptic setting.

Just curious, what were you hoping for? I don't use it but it does bring features to the table that browsers either don't have or didn't have at the time.

(I knew I would be modded down, alas) I don't think hiring a bunch of kids to go stand in line to get around ticket limits so you can buy up all the tickets, thus preventing other kids from getting them is that valuable of a service, no.

Having worked for a scalper as a young person trying to get through school, I have to agree that they are parasites. I can't believe the support they're getting on techcrunch. Oh well.

I would walk out of the interview because, obviously, the interviewer (or crafter of the questions) is a special kind of douche bag.

I have tried coke, crack and crystal meth a few times. I did not become addicted and decided that I didn't like it and that the chance of addiction was not worth it, so I stopped. If I had been thrown in jail as a result of one of those exp

So the laws should continue to make one a criminal for becoming addicted? The laws only serve to make people like you feel better (ala sticking head in sand) and to line the pockets of drug cartels.

As a native I have to chuckle at this. #1 Gueros is overrated. #2 Stop crowding my restaurants! #3 There's more than TexMex and BBQ but have at it I guess...

As a hardcore, super-engaged user (something of an experiment for me) I disagree. Well, I disagree that this move is successful anyway. We get more Twitter-style but less of what differentiated Facebook from Twitter. The stuff is still ther

Honestly, I'm a heavy user of Reader and have been wanting a conversations feature for a while. Sharing with other Reader users feels strange without it. I've also never used FriendFeed or even looked at it.

As far as I know it's not illegal anywhere in the United States (yes, making that assumption here) to admit to using it, talk/write about using it or publish information on growing or using it. That is what freedom of speech provides us. Ac

I don't want to pimp my own stuff here but search Google, Youtube or Vimeo for pedal feedback loops or pedal noise. It's usually abstract drone or noise so not to a lot of people's tastes. There are a few businesses that have sprung up from
