It's not just WebDAV that's an abomination (returning HTTP status codes and messages in XML, WTF were they thinking), but vCard and iCal as well. The vCard "group construct" (see rfc6350) is one of the dumbest things eve

There's actually not that much to write about. It's a regular company with share holders, the share holders just happen to be some of the staff. Fortunately the owners all get on very well, have similar beliefs in which technical,

Have you tried FastMail.fm? It's not free, but has a fast web UI, excellent IMAP support, customer service, etc. Search other HN threads to see what others think of it. (disclaimer: I co-own it with some of the other staff)

I really wish companies would get SSL vs TLS vs STARTTLS right. I wrote about this on our blog a while back and ended up turning it into a help page because people still seem to get confused. https://www.fastmail.fm/help

Similar approach to what we took. http://blog.fastmail.fm/2012/02/20/building-the-new-ajax-mai... Used the CSS syntax to easily set class/id on a newly created tag. Benchmarks included to show it's just as fast as innerHTML on modern brow
