A URL in with "ass" in the domain will almost certainly be blacklisted on a school network. When I was at school there was an online amazon like site for electronics called "egghead.co.uk" which was blocked for having &q

It would also really help if you were verbose in the naming of your methods as to weather they were async or not. At first I didn't realise db.remove() was async (sorry perhaps that's my fault). Also on your timing diagrams it may

This article has a lot of ambiguity which I think adds to the confusion. For example I was looking at that question(3) thinking, does doSomethingElse() return a function, another promise, nothing? Part of the problem of having a very forgiv

Really? Given you can't rely purely on GPS with autonomous vehicles anyway (tunnels, highly built up areas etc) I would have through the current accuracy was fine.

I guess it's a slight reassurance, for example if I want to send a password to someone I trust, I could do it with whisper knowing if someone picks up their phone in a weeks time it will be gone.

I would agree with VCS, preferably distributed and centralised. It does mention GitHub and Kiln (Mercurial) "Work on a small piece of a large system (codebase), read and understand existing code, track down documentation, and debug thi

Unless your users are happy to view UTC you will have to deal with it when you display it to them.

I think a more considered way to say that is it's a UX challange. You have to think about what the user want's to enter and what they want to see. It's especially hard if they are doing something like booking a flight, or car

I'm not sure I understand the point of saving the offset: "To avoid ambigiuty we also save a third piece of data: the UTC offset. Note that the UTC offset is only there for the rare cases when the timezone does not change, but whe

I agree but this is only half the battle. To use an Epoch you have to convert it into a timezone aware date (as you stated, as late as possible). Now that could be UTC but more likley it will be a timeZone that observes a daylight savings t
