Rise in popularity is an understatement. People who ordered the X100vi on launch day 6 months ago are still months away from actually getting them. The demand is just insane, they can’t make them fast enough, even after moving production to

This is completely unhinged, right? Am I crazy? All that work just to make absolutely 100% sure their staff never have to try to learn anything new or modify their processes in any way shape or form.

I found a really cool way to do this with svelte and css grid a few months ago, based on a blog post I can't seem to find now. A full masonry layout too, not just columns, but each element can have dynamic height and width. The thing t

What if both directions go downwards? That’s even more surprising to the first time user. That moment of confusion.

I love it. I think it would be even funnier if you made it only scroll in one direction (downwards) to remove any possible semblance of being useful.

They shouldn’t need that kind of maintenance unless you’re using it in an unusually dirty or dusty environment, as far as I know. I have a coolermaster tenkeyless with mx blues that I got about 10 years ago as a main keyboard that has worke

Also a kagi user since they changed their pricing. The results have been decent for me for the most part, except for shopping which I still use google for. I do wish they’d step up their css game though. Maybe it’s just safari on iOS, but I

People have linked some cheap app things, which may work, but the real deal stuff is something like a Trinnov rack unit, or Neumanns DSP room correction system, which is what I use. Both are somewhat pricey, but this stuff isn’t audiophile

Telescope is great. I’ve been trying to move to full neovim (astrovim to start with) for while since I’ve been using vscode-nvim, but the part I’ve had the hardest time with is tab/buffer/window management. I never really know wha

I had that same issue until I started using mine over tailscale. One of my computers acts as the DNS server for the whole network with pihole on it, and then anytime I need to get around something I temporarily disconnect from my tailnet. S

If anything, the SM7b is way more podcaster voice than a u87. People get them and get as close to them as humanly possible on every podcast and twitch stream and YouTube video ever. I would say the Neumann is definitely more accurate, but p

Reduce can use an async function which wraps the collector in a promise and gives you a ton of control over how it executes because you can choose at what point you want the function to block waiting for previous results. In this particular

That one is super interesting. For the first example, I'm not even really sure how I'd expect that to behave, it feels like no matter how it works it becomes slightly inconsistent with my expectations of the language. Like, if it

More tools to manipulate scroll targeting, scroll bars, and better access to more parameters around scrolling. Also better tools around display: clip. I spent maybe 6 hours trying to recreate instagram on iOS’s appbar scrolling to hide

It’s really cool to see this pop up again. I did some of the sound design (not the music, which is done by an incredible multi instrumentalist who specializes in nyckelharpa) for it a couple years ago. The dev behind it is brilliant and mad

I had this problem too when I started, for me it was an incorrect Erlang version. Using asdf to install both of them fixed it for me completely, and was pretty much a good enough experience all around that I use it to manage Nodejs installs

Have you tried the neovim plugin instead of the regular vim one? I find they have different trade offs, but the neovim one is actually using neovim inside a vscode window and requires a neovim install. Particularly, I’ve found the undo func

Anytime an error happens inside an async middleware in express, you have to explicitly catch it and pass it directly to the `next` function, otherwise it'll just disappear and any kind of error logging middleware you have later on will

It seems like it. There are alternatives like Koa and Fastify, but none of seem to strike quite the balance that express does. I pray that one day express 5 will get released and they’ll finally fix the whole async middleware not handling e

Looks cool, I’ll check it out, but please consider making the content denser on mobile. 3 posts take up my entire screen, which is just too much real estate and makes it tough to get a good overview without having to do a ton of scrolling.

Really liking my refurb t480 with Ubuntu, however the most annoying thing is that it’s seemingly impossible to get the 2 finger swipe back trackpad gesture working. Otherwise it’s been great.
