Just a nitpick, but you can use JSX in vuejs : https://vuejs.org/v2/guide/render-function.html#JSX

I recently tried out vue.js on a projet as a replacement to d3's selection/data-binding magic. I have to say, I've been impressed. 1. The API surface is fairly small, especially compared to Angular. I could grok how it worked

I'm fairly sure that there's almost no serious kernel developer answering here. Kernel contributions don't go through github PRs but through mailing lists. The "tough crowd" you see here are trolls - not the actual

I mean, I don't know if you've seen Black Mesa (the game), but they've done an incredible job at making an HL1 reboot, with some levels drastically expanded, a lot of things tweaked, and it's amazing how well it works. V

Even dart has substantial investment. Look at flutter, the new cross-platform ui toolkit for dart, and its use in Fuchsia.

There's git-appraise[0] which decentralizes issues and PRs by putting them as objects inside of git. It also features a webui[1] [0] https://github.com/google/git-appraise [1] https://git-appraise-web.a

At my current place (team of 5), we set up Zerotier[0] to create a LAN between all of our computers and servers. This lets us directly ssh into each-other's machine, simplifies file sharing to an rsync, etc... I find this works really

You don't have to download an entire torrent to access a single file. Most torrent client can prioritize files so they get downloaded first, or avoid downloading everything in favor of just one or two. That is, unless the torrent is ju

Dude, people are reverse engineering the nintendo switch OS in an attempt to get homebrew. Those guys already got quite far, and have confirmed multiple times that the OS is not FreeBSD. Just looking at how syscalls are made proves that it

I don't get why ? It's exactly the same today : you need at least one party to host the data (in this case the archive team). With IPFS however, if more parties wish to host it, it will lighten the load.

You don't need RFC to get real traction, if clients/servers are written for it. There is already an implementation in Cyrus SASL, and last I heard work was ongoing for a dovecot impl. I'm currently poking around the protocol,

Yeah, but that's not the point. If I have my friend who wants to host blog1.com, and I want to host blog2.com on the same machine, we can't do it without some coordination. We'd probably need to have an Nginx server using VHo

I just updated the NixOS gitlab package from 8 to 9[0]. It was a nightmarish experience. There are 5 microservices : - gitlab (the core) - gitlab-sidekiq (a work queue) - gitlab-workhorse (provides the frontend) - gitaly (a git wrapper that

One of my biggest frustration while running a multi-tenant system running NixOS (Which is great btw, every user can install stuff in their home without sudo) is that HTTP is bound to port 80. And beyond the whole privileged port jazz, there

I'm awaiting ES7 :D for the true solution to this problem. It'll eliminate the boilerplate of .then(function() {})` entirely. Less brackets, less ceremony.
