You're misreading the tone of the post. Google isn't a charity. Their portion of the revshare includes a portion profit and a portion of the cost of adserving.

Why would Google care about this? The ad uses Google's results and strips ads and cookie data, meaning they are taking from Google and giving nothing in return. Further, they use an unsupported method to scrape Google. I can see the socia

Uh, the company is originally Danish and I believe most of the staff are still in fact Danes. Her grammar was poor but understandable. I'm not sure why this guy gets so rage-filled when the email is innocuous when read coming from the mou

Huge upvote for this. This is excellent advice - my partner had the same situation last year. An entrepreneur making < $91k should most certainly do this asap!

this doesn't make a ton of sense. A (majority?) good share of ITA's profits are from sales to other traffic search sites and directly to airlines. Google's never had a strength in selling to other enterprises and surely doesn't want to ma

I really enjoy flyertalk.com for travel and frequent flyer discussions. Their subdomains for particular programs are ripe with really detailed info how to maximize value from any miles you accumulate (even if you earn the miles through met

It wouldn't surprise me if Google ended commercial activity there for the while (sales offices). Also, this is certainly bad for david drummond. Having a conviction like this as a lawyer surely must hurt your standing with the bar associat

Not much to this article really. The author (who is coincidentally a Facebook ringtone ad guy) says: - I'm not happy with Google results - Bing's are about the same quality, so I can use Bing. Default search deals are valuable, but not the

Were it not for the nofollows on the links, I'd guess this was a shill just to get a link on a site that would later be turned into an all-ads site, or a PDF affiliate site. There seem to be quite a few PDF software affiliate programs if y

Cookie stuffing is an old trick. This seems like a way of defrauding AdSense uniquely by juicing the conversion rate, which is easily doable if one views the conversion code and puts some thought into this sort of method. But it still see

But that's not really feasible for 100+ languages, not to mention character sets, etc. Editorial doesn't really scale for Google at all. For many of the smaller languages (i.e., outside the top 20 or so) Google only employs at most one nati

I hope they don't splash out on "C-Level executives" frankly. Dick Costolo is pretty strong as COO material and I don't think Ev needs to go anywhere. This is like saying Google needed to add C-Level execs in 2002.

This is a pretty powerful article. Regardless of your thoughts on global warming, it's rather upsetting to see scientists' careers ruined through having opinions differing than the gatekeepers of the peer reviewing system.
