In England at least you can't easily find them and even if you could your local council would likely not approve the planning permission to install them.

Missing teeth is one thing but British orthodontics are far less commonly used than in America. America also has a far higher negative stigma against gaps or unstraight teeth.

The racism is absolutely indefensible. But aren't the tattoo's a major turn off for Japanese preconceptions? In America, it's the equivalent of your chef having Maori face tattoos. Unusual to say the least. See: http:/&

Trustev was a startup that did this. Indeed trivial to spoof though unless you do complex behaviour analysis of the account which seems hard to handle in the edge cases of mainstream users who aren't active in social media.

There are also millions of us who would rather fly Heathrow over other local airports and support the expansion. This isn't all astroturfed support you know.

Yeah but in the UK consumers are used to public viewing in pubs. The USA has a far less developed sports bar market.

Isn't this the same as Pascals Wager then? We should pray to God since the upside result is worth the downside cost.

Of course, it's a Piketty theory. What else can he blame on the global rise if capitalism. Every problem comes back to that.

But cars don't work in many dense cities like in Europe and in NYC. You need cycles or scooters.

Drinking during pregnancy seems pretty usual across Europe. I don't think I ever saw a pregnant woman drinking even once in the USA.

Glenn is truly impressive as a negotiator. Fantastic piece overall. Funny to think of EU presidents popping down the hallway to say "is Matteo around?"

Plus, those darned oversized three prongs in ZA. I've only seen those in ZA and Namibia. It's confusing since the Indian ones look the same from a distance but the ZA ones have a fatter third prong.

I'd be happy to pretend that. Most of Facebook UK staff are actually employed here as high value employees (engineers, sales). I'd be very surprised if there were many contractors here in the UK.

Those share based payments certainly get taxed when the employees exercise them, so the Exchequer sees a tasty tax base from that at least.

No HDMI passthrough is a real irritation for me. I hate the fact it hogs one of the two HDMI ports in my office screen, meaning I need a HDMI switch for the Logitech videoconf and the Apple TV.
