You're right. I haven't been able to run every type of comparison yet, but in the meantime you could check out the other graphs that I've made that cover normal days: http://www.flickr.com/photos/robhawkes/sets/7215762573356079...

I agree completely. These results shouldn't be simply taken at face value if they're to be used for further analysis.

Thanks for your input Jonnie, you've highlighted one of the main limitations of text-based sentiment analysis. I've never always asserted that the sentiment derived from this study is not indicitive of "true" sentiment of an individual pers

I'll be writing this up in more detail soon, but the sentiment is basically derived through the ANEW dataset. This dataset scores a few thousand English words with sentiment values from 1 (very unhappy) to 9 (very happy). I find the sentime

Thanks for pointing that out; I'll bear it in mind when I do the redesign. :)

Fair point. The game originally started without Twitter integration and people asked for it, so I can't please everyone just yet. However, I will be letting people play without a Twitter account in the near-future, once I suss out the best

The reason I'm using Twitter is because there will be tight integration with Twitter in the future. If you don't want to trust me then I can't help that, but it's not a problem with the game. However, in the future I will be allowing guests

A wise idea, thank you. The game is still in the proof-of-concept stage so there is much to be made better.

You're missing out. It's just to log into the game, I'm not going to tweet from your account or anything stupid. All the code is on Github as well so I can prove that.

I'm using Twitter to give people usernames and ensure there aren't duplicate players. Eventually you'll be able to to play the game as a guest without Twitter.

Oh definitely. I put it together in a couple of hours, without any major performance testing. It's just a bit of fun really, nothing hardcore.
