Six months salary is what I'd always aimed for. I managed that well until recently. Now it hurts.

Based on my post below, I do not have, on hand, $2000 that I could use in case of emergency. I am fortunate enough, however, that if I absolutely needed it, I have ways of getting the money. (Via family mostly, but I really dont like tappin

I certainly don't have any put away for a rainy day. After a bit of time being jobless, I finally found some underpaying work to get back on my feet. Coupled with various bills and medical bills, etc., I'm sitting at a paycheck to paychec

My parents live in western NC and have the same problem. They're in a very rural area. Time Warner provides service down their road but stops about a half mile or mile from their home. Why? Because my parents are in a different county and

I prefer "founder" and/or "co-founder" until the company gets to the point that a distinction is really necessary. I suppose that is not entirely helpful as that still does not answer where that distinction is.

I would like to talk to you about how you approached and/or worked with sales people to get your project going. Do you mind if I contact you off-site?

Yeah, same here. I'm surprised I had not heard of this before today, but I know for a fact that it affects at least one of my sites. Have a good flight. I'm stuck in a car for another few hours, myself.

I was very interested in your product at first, but this answer turned me off pretty quickly. The site looks good, the service seems nice, but I'm not convinced you are PCI compliant based on the answer here and the Linode tag on your websi

Looks great. I did find a couple little bugs. One annoying, one not so much: 1) The annoying one - When backspacing over values in entry fields (such as opacity, or distance), backspacing over all the characters causes NaN to appear in the

I don't think they'll go anywhere. I assume they can easily afford any cost involved. I wouldn't be surprised if they already have the licenses while existing as a non-bank.

Ah, thank you for explaining that to me. I some how missed that from reading the link. Though, it was quite verbose and I am, admittedly, partially into a celebratory post-coding-session bottle of wine. I agree. The system most definitely a

How does this affect SaaS billing companies such as Chargify, Spreedly, Recurly, et. al. since they're merely passing along information to a gateway? I assume not at all, if I understand what I am reading. What about something like Stripe?

Thank you for sharing your story. I love the product (and love the website too, by the way. Beautiful design, I think.) If a Russian version of TripLingo is release, I suppose I'll be picking that one up as well. Tschüss

General approximation is what I was going to use. I don't care if it's exactly some set price. Reasonably close is good enough for me. A bit of magic in the system would be nice, as well. For example: I'm picking the menu(s) the items that

Slow, but amazing at the same time. I love thinking about things like this. I remember someone calling my old BBS, back in the early 90s, with a TDD to see what would happen. That explained why I had been seeing 300bps callers when I was u
