Do you happen to know of any issues beyond what I encountered setting it up? It seems to work perfectly at the moment but I'd consider switching to a different DB if continuing with MySQL is going to cause me headaches later on.

I also have this problem. I let it commit and push the commit just to see what would happen and the commit seems to have deleted and then re-added my files. Even after cloning a repository it wants me to make a commit like this. Afterwards

I think its worth noting that many people (like myself) do a lot of things such as commenting on posts and checking notifications from within other Google services such as Gmail and Docs rather than directly on Google+.
