Watched this a couple of weeks ago! It's pretty good watching. Seems like an interesting guy.

This is a good example of why everyone should have their own domain. Using @gmail.com or any other "mass" email domain is just not a great practice. IMHO, of course.

Tried to create an account. Got the confirmation email, clicked on it, and received this response "Your account has not been approved or disabled by the account manager. Please contact us: support@transfon.com"

Definitely a bit of a shock to me. I really like Cloudflare. But I'm not sure I really like this move.

It is the worst. I don't understand why most TVs seem to enable it be default or why most TV owners don't disable it immediately.

That's a lot of words to say nothing, really. Amazon Prime is so insignificant in cost that it makes no sense not to have it. And the author already admitted to sharing logins, which is no doubt a violation of their use policy and a mo

In theory, this would have been great. In practice it was not. So, no big loss.

I just had lunch with folks that I last worked with twelve years ago. We seemed to remember each other.

I find myself doing the same thing. I might use Amazon to find a product, but I end up going to the manufacturer's site to buy it. I also want to make sure that I'm looking at the latest version of the product, too.

Oracle Linux is essentially re-badged Red Hat Linux. It's fine, if you don't mind being in bed with Oracle. For me the choice between Red Hat, Oracle, or CentOS would come down to what is supported by the applications I am going t

Tell that to the woman I saw driving down I-45 recently in a Tesla. Going well under the flow of traffic in the left lane, doing her makeup, completely not paying attention to anything but herself.

It's funny how many people don't seem to understand that coyotes, owls, hawks, and other predators live in cities. I had a cat taken by a coyote last year, and I live in the middle of Houston. I've had multiple cats taken by

We use Teams for video conferencing at work. When someone calls, there are three buttons. One of them, the hang up button, is red; the other two are blue. I hit the red one half the time. Maybe I'm not very smart, but it sure seems lik

This was my first thought, as well. Facebook can handle it. And they'll build a service for the little guys to use. Win, win!

This is about all you can do. But you're right. You have to explain it and document it: "It's trivial to change User-Agent, and any decent hacker would probably not be using 'curl' as their User-Agent. We can look a

I spent a decent part of last year testing various CDNs and this is not what I found. Cloudflare, Verizon were both better (performance, cache retention) than Akamai based on my testing. And cheaper, not even considering the cost of feature

Agreed. Just moved one site from Akamai to Cloudflare and plan to move others. Would be disappointed if, on the heels of that, Cloudflare was swallowed up by Akamai. Akamai's service is good, of course, and I have no real ill will towa

Yeah, this is a problem for me. I'm a long, long time Google Voice user. It is my main phone number. I do all my calls and SMS via Hangouts on my computer. It's pretty rare for me to use my phone. I'm going to be lost if I ca

Is Teams really a Slack competitor? I don't see it that way. I use Slack constantly to work with my team, and Teams isn't even close to offering the same functionality; it's not even in the same category of product, IMHO. I a

This is a very poorly written ad. I wouldn't have minded so much if it had started of as a well written comparison of MySQL on RDS vs EC2, but it really didn't compare that in any sort of depth before jumping into the product info

This is why you should have your own domain for email. Your email address is important and should remain constant regardless of who is providing your email service.
