Just thought I'd point out that I have a standing PR with privacytools from late 2019 and it never went anywhere, even though I was careful to ensure everything was done correctly. https://github.com/privacytools/p

> fixing the root of the problem The issue I have with this line of thinking is that you are assuming this is fixable at all. What are you going to do, place a police station on every farm to market road in America? Another way of puttin

Offensive Security certs are worthwhile, so is GIAC if you can get your employer to pay for them. Other than that, having a CISSP is useful for some employment (but effectively meaningless) and having a few networking certs from either Cisc

I mean, just because one thing is preferable to another doesn’t mean that both are good. Hitting yourself in the head with a smaller rock is preferably to hitting yourself with a larger rock. I’m not a doctor or a nutritionist, but it appea

Countless doesn’t seem totally accurate. Last I checked the FBI census a few years back showed 318 deaths over a year due to long guns in the United States. That includes shotgun, rifle, and scary “assault” weapons. Handguns on the other ha

We did this to ourselves by not making our systems Sybil resistant or DoS resistant. Bitcoin solves this problem by requiring a fee to submit a transaction to the ledger (Denial of Service). lightning does this by requiring you to select wh

My advice is to stay as a software engineer, and slowly move towards secure software development. 98% of the security world is complete and utter bullshit, and no one is interested in actually securing anything. Ever wonder why EVERY bank h

I'm biased, having previously worked on Cardano, but the multi asset work going on right now is very competitive against what Ethereum can offer. https://ambcrypto.com/cardanos-mary-hard-fork-to-offer-nativ...

It is incredibly onerous to try to be a digital nomad these days and not break the law. I've lived in 4 states this past year. As remote work is further normalized, how is this situation going to resolve itself?

I would agree if California was a shall-issue state for CCW, but it's a may-issue state. Essentially it's arbitrarily up to the sheriffs department if you can get a CCW. Personally, I chose to live in shall-issue states.

Blockchain usage right now is minimal, largely due to the fact that for most use cases it’s too expensive (the cost is high, confirmation time is long). For most use cases, Ethereum is too expensive and the blocks are too full, the same is

Most of the coins do not have merit, but there are PoS coins that are legit. PoS will likely result in more decentralization, not less. Cardano is aiming for 1000 stakepools, which is far more than the 5 or so pools that exist in bitcoin ri
