I don't think this service is targeted at tinfoil-hat-wearing types. The original prototype, after all, was intended for sharing the data publically on the web. Making it private and secure would be a totally different product.

I've tried a lot of different development boards, and my experience has been that the OS, drivers, and available software resources make more of a difference for the kind of projects most people use these for. RPi and their community d

What's the disadvantage to being "overkill" that this remedies? nginx is very easy to install, and a static web server configuration is pretty much the default one. Is this faster? Does it use less memory?

The reason I switched to HomeBrew, after attempting to use MacPorts for several years, was that the formulas all actually worked and resulted in installations that weren't horribly broken and/or reliant on 10 different additions t

Looks really cool, excited to see some more detail on how it actually works! Why the new custom config file format? I've mostly found that these homegrown formats (logstash? nginx?) suffer from inconsistency and lack of flexibility, an

Refactoring a module to a package (e.g. mymodule.py -> mymodule/__init__.py) can cause errors if you don't clear the bytecode, since it can pick up mymodule.pyc and fail to see the new files. Not sure about the exact conditions

The difference I see there (IANAL) is that they are asking for that 1M to recoup their legal fees as the winners of the case, and offering to waive them if the case is closed. Not sure if they're definitively entitled to that money, bu

Since the Lambda functions are written in Node.js, you can probably take advantage of the way exceptions are handled and give your code a default timeout: setTimeout(function() { throw new Error('timeout'); }, 1000)
