In my eyes, phones actually provide mediocre quality. Even the ones Apple released today, notice how bad are the night shots they display on the website. I have a dslr with two fixed (portrait and panorama) lenses, and night or day, every s

An informative response instead of an ad hominem would be more interesting to read. What does make that comment bizarro and techically incompetent ? Honestly asking.

A naive question: is it still a real thing to be entrepreneurial software engineer? After reading this thread, as somebody who quit comfortable and well paying job for a startup being founded from scratch, I feel like I’m alone in this sort

I would like to think like this but can't, may be some elaboration can help me and others who can't think this way. For several times, I left a comfortable job for an adventure, and ended up wasting months (sometimes years) for no

I don't get how you see conspiracy in my comment. Was I claiming that social media is an actor in conflicts?

Social media was praised so much for its contribution to conflicts outside western world, like middle east and North Africa. In the beginning of Syrian civil war for example; Twitter was the place where propaganda was streamed and extremist

Interesting to see how the toxic usage of emojis at Slack is a part of the letter. In past, these sort of details in communication (reactions of others) would be instantaneous and people would not remember them. Now, the emojis stay there a

It's not enough to develop though, people need to want it and use it. I think the problem is the later one. Or may be, the bigger challenge is not the engineering of such a platform but the marketing of it...

In bigger picture, this is a natural move from quantity to quality. The free content on internet feel like eating garbage. I follow a few really good newsletters (e.g Craig Mod's) and every episode feels like a chapter in a good book.

Developers who publish Chrome Extensions also pay for them. I paid $5 initial fee twice for publishing Kozmos extension. In return, I can't even see a contact information to reach out about a bad review made.
